Achilles Tendonitis
The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the body and, because it is so central to walking, running, and jumping, is also prone to injury.
The staff of Great Lakes Foot & Ankle Centers can work you through Achilles tendonitis and help ensure you know the exercises and take the time needed for a full recovery.
Diagnosis
The staff will physically examine you and talk to you about the history of your pain. X-rays and MRI scans are not ruled out, but often are not necessary to diagnose Achilles tendonitis.
Treatment
Conservative treatments typically include heel lifts, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ice, stretching, and rest.
